I grew up in Koufalia, a small city 40 km northwest of Thessaloniki with 11,000 people. It is built by the Axios river, so the forests, the wild life and the river deltas make a really pretty landscape.
I was also lucky enough to do my undergrad in Thessaloniki, which is renowned for its big and vivid student community.
I have two parents and one lovely sister, named Kiki. My father’s name is Nikos and my mother’s name Ana. Apparently, I was the unluckiest of all to have a name which is so hardly pronounceable in English. So, finding imaginative examples to spell every letter of my first name is one of my hobbies.
Lastly, in my free time I play basketball, soccer, have big fat greek dinners with friends and write poems on various subjects excl. love (click here to read a small guide for writers).
I am proud to be part of a team which has won three B-league championships in a row (2013, 2014, 2015) at MIT Intramurals.
