My research interests are in machine learning, optimization and distributed sensor management. I am particularly interested in the topics of belief propagation, active learning, approximate inference and matroid theory.
My work for my Master thesis was in Computational Biology. I developed a mixture model method for the discovery of binding events in ChIP-Seq data and their proper alignment in multiple conditions under a probabilistic framework.
